Feed Lucas County Children, Inc. (FLCC), founded in 2002, is the advocate for the relief and elimination of child hunger in Lucas County.

One Face Reflects the Plight of Thousands...

How can one measure the success of a volunteer, dollars donated and the impact an organization has on thousands of children? Feed Lucas County Children, Inc (FLCC) is only 8 years old, and has been successful with very measurable results. FLCC is the advocate for child hunger relief, providing hot balanced meals directly to hungry children throughout Lucas County.

FIRST YEAR: 7,240 meals were served to at-risk children utilizing 11 volunteers

EIGHT YEARS LATER: 179,870 meals were served to at-risk children through 262 volunteers.

This was accomplished in 12 short weeks and involved 90 organizations. Imagine the results when Feed Lucas County Children, Inc embraces the remaining groups in the community and helps them achieve the fi nal step in reaching the 16,000 children not yet receiving this type of support!

An increasing number of organizations are identifying greater results in children’s grades when education is combined with well balanced meals supplied by FLCC.

Forty organizations have recently partnered with FLCC to supply roughly 130,000 meals/snacks to support the inaugural After School Tutoring program. The altruistic impact is astonishing when you step back and look at this big picture. The question was recently asked, “What would happen if this non-profi t was not able to supply these meals?” Society of St Vincent de Paul stated that all agencies would feel a huge loss.

Many agencies along with compassionate people are working together under one mission to help children. Commendably, no one is trying to beat their own personal drum. With their collaboration and your support, Feed Lucas County Children, Inc has been able to help others have a huge impact on the future of more children. Measurable results, a transparent program and your support are the reasons why FLCC is slowly ending hunger through the county. Reference Tony P. Siebeneck, Executive Director
